WHAT IS A HARD RESET?
Updated: January 30, 2019
A hard reset is a complete factory reset of the device by using the outer buttons of the phone. This is usually done when a phone is unresponsive or you have forgotten your account details. Hard resetting a device wipes the entire phone to factory settings. This process is NOT the same as going in the settings and clicking factory reset. if your device is linked to an existing Google Account, your device will be "permanently" locked to that account.
WHY HARD RESET YOUR DEVICE?
A hard reset is usually done when a device is unresponsive or the owner has forgotten his account information. Usually hard resetting a phone will fix unresponsive device since the device settings are reset back to original factory configuration and any virus or malfunctioning script is reverted. A hard reset should not be confused with a soft reset.
